Industry Workshop on Scaling Circular Solutions for Soils
On 1 April 2026, the Belgian Regional Cluster will host an in-person workshop in Ghent focused on scaling circular solutions based on residual streams for soil improvement.
Organised in collaboration with the Biosoilutions project, the session will bring together researchers, companies, policymakers and end-users to explore innovative soil improvers derived from bio-waste, sustainable business models, and best practices for valorising organic residues.
Participants will engage in discussions on the development and application of circular soil conditioners, including struvite and insect-based products. The workshop will also present Best Management Practices (BMPs) for transforming waste and by-products from food and feed processing into high-value products, followed by interactive feedback from stakeholders on their scalability and replicability.
This event fosters collaboration between research and industry to advance circular bio-based solutions and improve nutrient management at scale.
