From Best Management Practices to their application in the Region of Murcia
How can good practices developed through European projects become solutions that work in the Region of Murcia?
On 8 October, the NPower Murcia Regional Cluster will bring together businesses, public authorities, researchers and other regional stakeholders in Cartagena for a morning dedicated to efficient nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) management, knowledge exchange and new opportunities for collaboration. The first part of the event will introduce participants to European R&I projects and the opportunities they offer for businesses and other organisations to become involved in innovation initiatives. Experiences from the SEACURE and NPower projects will also be presented, including NPower’s selection of 20 Best Management Practices (BMPs) for nitrogen and phosphorus management.
The event will then move from European projects to practical application. Participants will work across three areas:
Each session will combine Best Management Practices, real-world examples and an open co-creation discussion around one central question: could these solutions work in the Region of Murcia?
Participants’ contributions will help validate the selected practices, explore their applicability within the regional context and identify further opportunities for more efficient and circular nutrient management.
The morning will conclude with a networking session and appetizers, providing additional time to connect with other regional actors and explore future opportunities for collaboration.
