Promoting Phosphorus Recycling for Agricultural Use: Update, Co-Creation and Networking

Workshop on Phosphorus Recovery and Recycling for Agriculture

On 25 February 2026, the Murcia Regional Cluster will host a workshop at the Dinapsis space focused on the recovery and recycling of phosphorus (P) for agricultural use, bringing together key stakeholders from the fertiliser sector, research organisations, public authorities and agricultural innovation actors.

The event will provide an update on the latest R&D developments in phosphorus recycling, alongside an overview of the current regulatory framework in Spain, Portugal and France. Participants will also review the updated assessment of the phosphorus cycle in these territories and contribute their perspectives, feedback and proposals for improvement.

The session will combine technical updates with co-creation and networking opportunities, and will conclude with a guided visit to the phosphorus salt recovery pilot plant at the Cartagena Wastewater Treatment Facility (La Asomada), with bus transport provided.

Fertiliser and biostimulant producers, R&D organisations, agricultural input suppliers and soil health solution providers, public authorities, interested citizens and students.
