Circularity is gaining ground in Flanders’ food and feed industries. However, turning ambition into practice still poses technical and regulatory challenges. To address these, the Belgian Regional Cluster of NPower invites stakeholders to an online workshop on 26 November 2025, dedicated to exploring how nutrient recovery and by-product valorisation can make agro-food systems more sustainable.

Co-hosted by Ghent University (UGent) and Flanders’ FOOD, the session will highlight innovative solutions for wastewater reuse, by-product valorisation and side-stream management in industries such as potato processing and brewing.

The workshop will conclude with a co-creation discussion, where participants will exchange insights, identify constraints and define next steps for implementing circular practices within the regional industry.

📍 Where: Online 🕤 When: 26 November 2025, 13:00 – 14:30 (CET) 💬 Intended for: Food/feed R&D researchers, retailers, circular procurement officers, policymakers.
