On 17 November 2025, the Murcia Regional Cluster of NPower will host the official launch of the Multi-actor Transition Group dedicated to examining the role of the energy and transport sectors within the region’s nutrient metabolism.
The session will explore how these sectors generate, transform, or consume nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) along their value chains. Key topics will include the implications of N and P in fuel production and use, the role of biogas and anaerobic digestion, transport-related emissions, and the impacts associated with electricity generation and other energy activities shaping regional nutrient flows.
A co-creation session will follow, inviting participants to share experiences, identify regional challenges, and collaboratively design strategies to improve nutrient recovery, minimise emissions, and strengthen circular business models across the energy and transport value chains.
