The aim is to generate a clear picture of how nutrients move across key sectors — agriculture, industry, water management, energy, and other primary activities — and to identify where imbalances occur. This will support stakeholders and policy makers in making better-informed decisions to reduce emissions and optimise resource use.
The model is being implemented in the Region of Murcia (Spain) before being replicated at European scale.
