LUKE, Finland / 13 August 2025
Two regional events in Finland brought stakeholders together to explore how nutrient flows can be managed more sustainably.
In mid-August 2025, NPower’s Regional Cluster in Finland activated local engagement through two events hosted by Natural Resources Institute Finland (LUKE). Although each event brought together a different mix of participants, both shared the same goal: to present the NPower project and invite stakeholders to co-develop practical, regionally adapted solutions for circular nutrient management.
📍 Field demonstration and stakeholder meeting – Maaninka
On 13 August, LUKE welcomed 76 participants to its Maaninka office for a session that combined a full introduction to NPower with an outdoor field demonstration on soil health. Representatives from industry, local and regional authorities, research institutions, and end-user communities engaged in open dialogue around the role of nutrient flows in agriculture and the environment. The connection between research and practice sparked strong interest among participants, many of whom expressed a clear willingness to stay involved in upcoming NPower activities.
📍 Ruukki Research Station Day
Just two days later, on 15 August, NPower was featured during the Ruukki Research Station Day, where LUKE presented the project alongside other regional research efforts. The event gathered 80 participants, offering a broader platform to position NPower within Finland’s bioeconomy landscape. The project’s mission and relevance resonated strongly with the audience, and several attendees shared their interest in following its progress and exploring ways to contribute.
Context-tailored collaboration through NPower’s four Regional Clusters in Spain, Ireland, Belgium and Finland.
By bringing NPower into key regional contexts, these events helped root the project’s mission in real in-person experiences. From improved soil practices to better cross-sector collaboration, the Finnish Cluster is laying the groundwork for circular solutions that respond to local realities.
