NPower has joined the ZeroPollution4Water (ZP4W) Cluster, a European collaboration bringing together EU-funded research and innovation projects working to improve water quality, strengthen water resilience and contribute to Europe’s Zero Pollution ambitions.
Coordinated by Water Europe, a partner in the NPower consortium, the Cluster provides a shared space for projects addressing different parts of the water cycle to exchange knowledge, connect results and explore opportunities for joint action.
The Cluster currently brings together 19 European projects. Its seven founding projects — intoDBP, UPWATER, ToDrinQ, H2OforAll, MAR2PROTECT, SafeCREW and NINFA — have been joined by NIAGARA, ELEKTRA, LIFE-CASCADE, D4RUNOFF, UNIVERSWATER, Urban M2O, UrbaQuantum, NPower, LIFE PRISTINE, AQUAMON, QleanUP and WATERSENS.
For NPower, joining this network brings the project’s perspective on nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) management, nutrient recovery and circularity into a broader European conversation on water quality and resilience.
Membership of the Cluster will allow NPower to share its experience and learn from projects approaching water challenges from different technological, environmental and governance perspectives.
One of the strengths of ZeroPollution4Water is its emphasis on turning the knowledge generated by individual projects into collective resources.
The Cluster works through dedicated thematic groups covering areas including policy, communication, technology and innovation, data management and the transition from research and innovation to impact.
Through its participation, NPower will contribute to activities such as knowledge exchange, joint policy work, policy briefs and recommendations, case studies, communication activities and collaborative events.
This creates opportunities to connect NPower’s results with evidence generated by other European projects and identify common barriers, opportunities and messages that can inform policy and implementation.
By joining ZeroPollution4Water, NPower becomes part of a wider European network working to transform research results into shared knowledge, policy input and practical pathways towards cleaner and more resilient water systems.
